Statement of Faith

Staff and students are asked to agree and live by the following Statement of Faith.

  1. The Bible is inspired by God, and is the word of God for determining what we believe and how we should live as Christians.
  2. There is only one true God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit.
  3. Jesus is the Son of God, who came in the flesh and that He was both fully divine and fully human.
  4. Though originally created good, man willingly fell to sin introducing humanity to evil and death.
  5. All people have sinned, and Scripture clearly states the truth of eternal punishment for the lost and eternal life in heaven for the saved.
  6. The only way to be saved is through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, who died for our sins and was raised from the dead to justify us before God the Father.
  7. The Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells and guides the believer into all truth, and He gives spiritual gifts to believers as He wills.
  8. The Church has a mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin and call them to become disciples of Jesus.
  9. Salvation involves repentance from sin toward God and a personal, heartfelt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This salvation is entirely by the grace of our Lord and not of our human works.
  10. Christians should live according to standards of holiness as prescribed in Scripture and as enabled by the Holy Spirit.
